Seasonal Snapshot

Like many people living in North America, I consider autumn to be my favorite season. This year has felt especially meaningful because I’ve been learning about Celtic spirituality and paying closer attention to the changing seasons.
Book updates
🩸 My vampire story ~ Trancing Miranda, is finished and I’m expecting the cover by the end of the year. I have worked hard on revising the magic system and think it’s actually pretty coherent (at last!) but I’ll let you be the judge.
If you missed any scenes from the first two chapters, you can read them here on the website. There is an easy index at the top of each installment. Just start here 👇
As soon as the ebook is on Amazon, I’ll be doing a free promo so you can keep on reading! I will probably also be taking the chapter two content down.
💕 The second chance romance ~ I’m progressing with the first draft of my second-chance romance. It features my first-ever autistic FMC. Or—if all my FMCs are autistic and I just didn’t realize it—this is the first who is identified as autistic in the text. I have also added a psychic element to the story.
I’ll be sharing the more about this project plus the full short story that was the inspiration for the book in the newsletter (and on the website) later this year.
👉 Dream / autism memoir ~ I put the dream / autism memoir on hold. I still want to do it, but decided the Trancing Miranda, the second romance and possibly book 2 in the vampire series should come first.
About the newsletter
💻 I’m going to be focusing more on paranormal romance and the supernatural lore that inspires my writing. Topics of interest to neurodivergent writers will post on occasion.
About Me
🍎 In my summer update, I talked about feeling my age. I’m happy to say that some of the small changes I made—increased activity, less sugar, scheduled breaks and a new standing desk—have helped. I am having a LOT less joint pain and am convinced that sugar really is poison (though I did have pie on the holiday because I felt I earned it).
🧠 I shared about being diagnosed with ADHD in September. The diagnosis put a lot of things in perspective. I’m actually still processing but will be talking about ADHD in future podcast episodes.
I made a video right after I got the diagnosis. You can check it out here:
Getting Diagnosed with ADHD (Video)
I got the results of my ADHD evaluation today and wanted to share it. The additional diagnosis will affect my...

You've been a real busy bee, dear friend. I often think of autumn as the final push before the darkness of winter sets in and so much seems frozen in place (altho that can be a welcome place of imposed rest). In the coming week there will be two snow events, both plowable. I'm grateful for it all. You may have watched the most recent recent episode of TJL with Lisa and Deb...Lisa did a lot of crying in that episode which I found both surprising and moving. If you haven't seen it, I encourage you to when you have a chance.
